Epoisses 100g

A delicious soft rind washed cheese from Burgundy. Epoisses became virtually unknown in France during the war until the 1950s when it was brought back to the world by M. Berthaut one of France’s finest affineurs. Epoisses is rind washed in the spirit of Marc de Bourgogne, a drink made with the pomace of Burgundian wines and reputedly the favourite of Napoleon. Often eaten with Trappist beer rather than Burgundy wine! Made with pasteurised milk and traditional rennet.
