Munster is an AOC cheese from the Vosges mountains in Alsace. Don’t be put off by the smell which comes from the rind being washed in brine constantly for 2 – 3 months which also gives the rind its rich orange colour. It is sweet and spicy, traditionally eaten on Christmas Eve with cumin seeds and boiled potatoes and served with a glass of Alsace white wine. Made with unpasteurised milk and traditional rennet.
