Summer’s lease hath all too short a date …. A cheeseboard to conjure up long, sunny days and warmer climes.
200g – Crumbly Lancashire, made with the summer milk of cows grazing the rich, grassy pastures of Lancashire at Greenfields dairy in the Trough of Bowland. Pasteurised/V.
200g – 100g – Gouda with olives, sweet basil, garlic, herbs and sun-dried tomatoes Pasteurised/trad.
200g – Devon Blue, complex, sharp crumbly blue from the Sharpham Estate in Devon. unpasteurised/V>
200g – Brie de Meaux – if any cheese could make you think of a picnic on a sunny patch of lawn, or a riverbank a ripe, runny brie with a vegetal scent would probably do the trick…. unpasteurised/trad 200g – Isle of Mull cheddar, the Isle of Mull may be a long way North but its shores are warmed by the Gulf Stream and its beaches often mistaken for the Caribbean. The cows at Sgriob-ruadh Farm graze a pasture rich in sea salt blown from the Atlantic which gives the cheese a little taste of the sea. Unpasteurised/ trad.
